My name is Mckenzie Thibeault. To tell you a little about me, I am 18 years young and I attend the University of Maine. This semester I was introduced to a course that has indefinitely changed my world. ​Even though I thought of myself as an intelligent young woman, it turns out I was completely uneducated about the world I live in today. And I am not alone in that. ​My women studies course opened my eyes, and made me realize I want to do something with the information I have absorbed. I want to do anything I can do make a women feel beautiful regardless of what social media tells them. In today's society media runs the world. White males are the ones telling us how to look, what to wear, how to act. This must stop. I only hope this website provides you with the tools you need to KNOW, just because you do not fit this unachievable image media portrays, you are beautiful. You are you, love youself!
